As the co-Principal Investigator of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF)-funded Research and Development Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Ohio State University, she is at the forefront of advancing treatments for pulmonary diseases. Her research focuses on improving clinical outcomes and conducting groundbreaking trials in Cystic Fibrosis and Asthma.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. McCoy has received numerous accolades, including the Career Contribution Award and the Castle Golden Stethoscope Award, in recognition of her dedication to improving the lives of children with pulmonary diseases. Castle Connolly has also honored her by naming her among the Best Doctors in America, a testament to her expertise and exceptional care.
